Weekend Update!

Last weekend - Erin watching me put up the lights

Last Weekend - My dietary lifestyle change starts "after" Christmas :-P Erin looks just as good as ever. I'm one lucky man!

2nd Week of Advent is now upon us. Erin and I had a pretty busy week so sorry for no updates. Erin woke up with "pink eye" Friday morning and spent two hours in the ER, because she could not get an appointment with her doctor and the urgent care wasn't an option. It wasn't too bad ... if anything it was at the beginning stages so it was cleared up by Saturday morning. You might ask how she got it, but when you're around kids all the time it's no big suprise. I stayed away on Friday Night so Erin could rest, and I didn't want pink eye either. But, Saturday and Sunday we were together. Erin came over Saturday Night and we had a nice Christmasy evening. We had dinner at Ruby Tuesday's followed and headed back home after a quick stop at Target. Once back home we turned on the tree and put some Christmas music on while Erin waited for me to finish making Peppermint Hot Choclate. I used the Ghiradelli powder with milk and canned whipped cream. I've got it down to a science. In my opinion, it tastes just as good as Starbucks Peppermint Hot Choclate :-) Once that was ready we watched "Fred Claus" with Vince Vaughn. It's not the best Christmas movie by any means, but its cute and made us laugh. We love Vince's rants and one-liners. Sunday morning we attended mass but were a bit disappointed that Fr. Pat wasn't there for the 2nd Sunday in a row (remember him? He's our celebrant for the wedding). But it was still good to be there together - listening to God's Word, praying and worshiping. After that I dropped off Erin so she could finish her paper for her last class of the year. She's 3 classes aways from finishing her Masters! I used that time to go Christmas shopping and bought one last little gift for Erin's stocking. I decided to stick with doing her stocking again this year. It can be exhausting and expensive, but all in all I have a blast doing it! Once I was done, I went back to the Johnson Home to help Erin with the "Save the Dates." Well ... I kind of watched and provided input when asked ;-) We should be sending them out before Christmas. That's about all we know for now! We'll try and take some new pictures this week.
