Go Irish!

Welcome to Prairie Landing! Our official wedding reception venue ... We have it in writing this time ;)

This is a view of the Banquet Entrance. What you don't see in this picture is the massive parking lot, followed by the even more massive golf course.

This is the banquet room and dance floor. No worries...plenty of room to boogie! We also like the fact that sage will match the room much better than this bride's chosen aqua color.

Another view of the side of the room.

The veranda, where guests can visit and mingle. Sorry for the darkness, but at least there is a nice shade, right?

You may have to click on this in order to see it better, but this is the view of the entire room, for the most part, looking in from the front entrance. This is where one of my best friends got married two years ago, and the sunset through those windows is amazing :)

Last weekend, Joe and I met many of Joe's family members at ND for the Notre Dame/San Diego game. And, can you believe it - they won! It was fun just to be on campus and visit the book store, but to have the Fighting Irish come out victorious was even better! Plus, I did purchase a nifty T-shirt, the new Shirt for 2008, and a comfy sweatshirt, so I can support our team in style this season. WOOHOO!
Here you see Joe's dad, Don, and my soon-to-be-niece, Kathleen, posing for a pic. Isn't she cute with her ND tattoos?

TOUCHDOWN JESUS! aka "The Word of Life" It's true name.

We hope you all are doing well, and we hope to hear from you soon!
Love ya,
Erin and Joe

Yeah Photography!

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! I spent mine with my Dad at Kevin and Sonya's house: a quite lovely place to stay, I might add. They have a huge backyard, and a living room with great views into the front and back; I love their house! I'm so happy for them. They're a family :)

Joe and Peter had a nice time together in Schaumburg. They went to Dave and Buster's Saturday night, and Joe won me a Whoopee cushion! I know what you're thinking ladies: how did I ever bag such a sweetheart?! He's MINE! Get your own eHarmony account :P

Well anyways, just wanted to let you know about our photographer/photojournalist. Her name is Danielle Aquiline. She came highly recommended on the boards at theknot.com, so we emailed back and forth, and then finally met with her, and Joe and I are excited to have her photograph our wedding. She will do mostly candid shots; some traditional poses, but not as many. We still have to fill out a shot list of moments we want her to capture, but that's small potatoes. You can visit her website and check out some of her work at www.danielleaquilinephoto.smugmug.com .

I hope you're all doing well. I will try to get some pictures on here soon; it's no fun without pictures!

God bless,
Erin
