Work it, girl!
On "set" at The Prairie Center for the Performing Arts in Schaumburg this past Sunday.
(And yes, I certainly put on a show!)
Joey...I'm freeeezing! Who's idea was this anyways?!
'Here, sweetie. I'll warm you up.'
(No thanks, I'll pass.)
Joe and I (and my sister Katie... okay I'll be honest; it was all Katie), have been putting together our Save-the-Date cards!!! Can you believe that step is almost here? I had to get them designed and ordered and since my sister has offered to design the invites, she agreed to do Save-the-Dates as well. And they are finished and ordered and I'm just waiting for them to arrive so I can mail them out in time for Christmas! Woohoo! I'm sooo excited.
Anyways, we wanted there to be a picture of Joe and I, but we don't have many nice ones and our engagement pics aren't until the Spring, so we had my sister's best friend Nikki, who happens to be a photographer, take our pictures at the Prairie Center. Outdoors, in the 30 degree weather for about an hour or so. We took some goofy ones, some cute ones, some in color, some in black and white, and then we all went for hot chocolate at Starbuck's. A wonderful time!
Here are some of the pictures Nikki took and doctored up for your enjoyment. The one we chose for the actual Save-the-Date, however, will remain a surprise!

Aren't we special? One other truly special thing we would like to take time to praise our Lord for right now is our niece Bella's current status of remission in her ALL leukemia journey. You know just by looking at her that she is a fighter; she gets it from her mama; the whole family has struggled beautifully in His name. We love you all, and Praise Jesus!
If we don't post before then, have an awesome Thanksgiving! I am thankful this year for the provision I always find in God, who watches even the sparrow. May you find your provision in Him as well this season.
Love to all,
Erin (and Joe)

I really think you should have used that 1st one as the Save the Date:) Can't wait to see which one you chose!
Not sure what "save the date" cards are...but the pics are wonderful! Love you, Sus
Please note, this Save the Date card would not have been possible if it weren't for my best friend, Nikki. HOORAY NIKKI AND HER MAGICAL CAMERA OF GOODNESS!!!
